while down at the south pier capturing this shot (and many others), something irked the most ginormous amount of birds into taking off like bats out of hell, screaching and hollering and flying all above me in circles. scared the living crap out of me. i seriously pooped my pants standing all alone on the pier with a thousand birds circling overhead.

the birds you see in this photo is actually about one-thirds the amount that were out there. the other two-thirds of them were flying behind me and to the left.
