The Fabric of the Universe

Have you ever wondered about the universe? Have you ever thought about what's out there and whether what's out there has any connection to what's in here (earth, I mean)?

Then, meet Brian Greene. I stumbled upon him when hunting for a book on Physics at the Kinukuniya Bookstore at KLCC. His book, The Fabric of the Universe caught my eye and I couldnt put it down since I opened the first page.

He talks about Newton's laws of physics and how Einstein came up with his laws and the difference between Einstein's Special Relativity theory and the awe inspiring General Relativity theory which managed to explain the laws of physics here on earth and in deep space, where Newton's laws broke down.

This is quite an interesting book.

After this book, I intend to read his first book, The Elegant Universe, the book most people say put Greene is the spotlight as the physicist who can explain all the mathematics that he works on in layman terms.

Two new books to read in 2006. Hope you enjoy them....
