9 Java Books in One

Have you ever wanted to learn Java but didnt know where to start? And have you ever shied away from these Dummies series because you didnt want others to think that you were learning from such an elementary book.

Think again. Maybe the series has a funny name -- Dummies! -- duh, but these books are certainly not for dummies. Dont be surpsied, but the Java (All in One Desk Reference) for Dummies book will get you from sracth to writing your Java programs complete with graphical user interfaces (GUI)!

I was actually searching for a book to teach me how to create a chess game. Lol and behold, Java was the last thing in my mind. Dont get me wrong, I was one of the first to follow Java when it came out with version 1.0 and I followed it until version 1.3 but then school work got the most out of me, and then I graduated and returned home to Malaysia. I thought I could continue with java but never did. I studied C, C++, Php, Python,...you name it, I've learnt it.

So I was surpsied when I flipped through this Java for Dummies book and found a portion on how to create a chess GUI in the second scetion of the book. And this books is a combination of 9-mini books, each focusing on a particular topic :

Book 1 : Java Basic
Book 2 : Java Fundamentals
Book 3 : Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
Book 4 : String, Arrays and Collections
Book 5 : Programming techniques
Book 6 : Swing
Book 7 : Web Programming
Book 8 : Files and Databases
Book 9 : Fun and Games

Go ahead and give this book a try. You'll love it. Java for Dummies!
