Made for Success Quote and Commentary

"Tell a person they are brave and you help them become so." -- Thomas Carlyle

Chris
Widener's Commentary:
Tell a person anything and you help them to become so. The tongue has a tremendous power to lift up or to destroy. We can create in others what they become. Over time, a child who is built up and encouraged by your words will become strong and healthy. Likewise, a child who is constantly criticized will grow up weak and lack confidence. Friends, in having worked with literally thousands of people over the years, I cannot even count how many people relate to me that their problems stemmed from something they were told by someone else that rocked their foundation. But there is a good side to that principle. We who want to change the world and make it a better place can begin to speak good into people's lives and start producing healthy people for the future! This will transform your family and your workplace!

Action Point:
Pick one person in your family and one person in your place of work or an organization you belong to who could use your regular words of encouragement and praise. Now make a commitment to letting them know the good on a regular basis!
