Driving along down I-15 south towards St. George, Utah, I hoped to be able to get some good shots of the sunset. At the time I mentioned this out loud, there were thunderstorm clouds overhead, and so I didn't know if the sun would ever peek out. Luckily, we went to get some gas (and ended up not), but when turning back realized that the side road we were on offered the perfect view of a truly serendipitous moment for us; the sun had dropped below the ceiling of thunderheads and shot its last rays of the day through the gap between the clouds above and the mountains and horizon below. Lucky us.
