Impreza - Sticks to the Sky?

A good friend of mine sent this picture from Birmingham, UK. He had to slap himself a few times to check if his eyes were playing tricks on him, before whipping out his camera to take this wonderful shot on a truck carrying brand new Imprezza's.


From a photographer's point of view, this is a wonderful picture. But the first thing my friend asked was, could the car axles and joints stand the reverse loading? Obviously he's an engineer, and a very good one at it!
