Manchester, New Hampshire (AP) -- Fahmi Yunus was on the phöne with his
mother in Indonesia's Aceh Province when she felt one of the tremors that
preceded December's tsunami. They cut the conversation short so she could
get out of the house.
By the time Yunus got home to Banda Aceh from Jakarta, he learned that his
parents and his pregnant wïfe had vanished among the many thousands killed
in the tsunami. He spent three months searching for them before deciding
to set aside his grief and look for ways to help others.
