First Win in Ratings Group Tournament

It's good to be back playing chess. Tonight was the first match in the ratings group tournament. I like this format. This allows me to play with players with the same rating as I am, which is the bottom 10%.

Got off to a poor start at move 12 when I gave up a Bishop for nothing. Luckily I managed to neutralise the situation on move 16 - 18 when my opponent wanted to sacrifice pieces so that he could have a winning end game and I managed to win back a bishop.

The game was won when he misplaced his Rook on move 20 which allowed me to be a Knight up.

It was a good win. The game is shown below.

Olympic Badminton Finals Today @ 8 pm

For once tonight, at 8 pm Malaysian time, Malaysians of all political faith will stand behind Datuk Lee Chong Wei as he face his nemesis, Lin Dan of China in the men's badminton single finals of the 2012 Olympic.
