Mother Nature unleased her fury on this oil platform for damaging the environment with unending drilling for oil.
The irony of this picture is that the platform is currently only supported by its 4 flow lines (look at the 4 inner pipes), and not by its supports (the external pillars that were supposed to hold the platform in place). The flow lines were meant to guide the flow of oil and other minerals from the ground into the platform and was never designed to hold the platform at all. The platform's main supports are damaged beyond recovery.
The world is changing - the environment is becoming harsher by the day - no thanks to global warming and our excessive need for material wealth and consumption.
