Rockingham Grain Export Terminal

In the spirit of the Olympics, we took a ride to Rockingham to see what's great along the coastline. The sunset was as amazing as the one you find at Cottesloe Beach.

But we came across this giant grain export terminal.

The first picture shows part of the terminal where the ships are docked and the grain gets loaded onto the ships. The long conveyor heads out to the factory (not shown on the right of picture).

The second picture is a close up of the loading bay. The third is also of the same, but an hour later when the sun has slept.

The last picture was the hot emissions on a cold night.

That was supposedly the temperature in certain parts of Perth last night.

This temperature only comes once a year and marks the midpoint of winter. From now on, we can expect more sunshine. Unfortunately.

I like the cold. It keeps me within operating temperatures.

One nice thing about winter in Perth is that I dont have to scrape snow off the windshield of my car and hope I dont step on ice.
